Deep Tech Forum is a premier international event series that unites the world’s leading deep tech ecosystem—encompassing founders, startups, investors, and supporting communities—to address the barriers to growth and success in deep tech innovation. Founded in 2024 by Monozukuri Ventures, a venture capital firm specializing in hardware and deep tech startups, Deep Tech Forum is quickly becoming a global platform for collaboration, thought leadership, and transformative discussions in deep tech.
Our Journey So Far:
In its inaugural year, Deep Tech Forum has successfully brought together diverse deep tech communities across North America and Asia through four highly impactful events centered around RAAI (Robotics, Automation, and AI):
• Toronto, Canada (January 2024):
Positioned as a new epicenter of AI, Toronto is also a hub of manufacturing resources in Ontario. This event highlighted the city’s emerging influence in AI and deep tech, leveraging its robust local manufacturing ecosystem to explore advancements in Robotics, Automation, and AI.
• Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (January 2024):
Known as the robotics epicenter of the U.S. and home to Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh’s event brought together leaders in AI, robotics, and advanced manufacturing. This forum tapped into the city’s rich academic and industrial expertise, offering a deep dive into the latest innovations driving the future of RAAI.
• New York City, New York (January 2024):
Partnering with SOSV, a prominent venture capital firm, the NYC event featured a keynote by the CTO of HAX, the hard tech-focused startup development program operated by SOSV. Hosted by IndieBio, a startup accelerator specializing in life sciences, the forum bridged the worlds of biotech and hard tech, showcasing New York City’s unique blend of innovation and investment opportunities.
• Kyoto, Japan (March 2024):
A distinctive cross-cultural exchange event in Japan’s historic city of Kyoto, highlighting Japan’s pivotal role in the deep tech landscape. This forum emphasized the convergence of tradition and innovation, providing a platform for discussions on how Japanese companies and startups can drive global deep tech advancements.
• Newark, NJ (September 2024):
Focused on Climate Tech in collaboration with HAX/SOSV, this event will gather the brightest minds to explore sustainable solutions, investment opportunities, and innovative technologies for tackling climate challenges.
Each of these events successfully leveraged the strengths of its local ecosystem, bringing unique perspectives and opportunities to the global conversation around deep tech.

Building on the success of our earlier events, Deep Tech Forum is excited to announce three more dynamic forums for late 2024 and early 2025:
• Santa Clara, CA (October 2024): Held in the heart of Silicon Valley, this forum will explore CVC & VC Collaboration for Innovation, bringing together leading investors and corporate leaders to discuss strategic partnerships that fuel deep tech innovation.
• New York City, NY (January 2025): Returning to NYC with a focus on deep tech expansion into Japan and beyond, this event will offer unparalleled insights and opportunities for startups looking to scale globally and enter new markets.
